Jerry Patterson's house was overgrown with weeds, bushes, and an unexpected three foot long bee hive because the house had been vacant so long. Volunteers from California gutted the house and cleared the yard debris. A new roof was installed. New walls, flooring, electric wiring, plumbing and other work was done by various volunteer teams and the Future for Families construction group. During the summer break our construction crew and volunteers took their vacation time and traveled to Jackson, Mississippi to reconstructed a building for a women's rehab center.  A few weeks later, they had completed a structure that could be used for staff offices and meeting areas. This build was crucial to the success of rehabilitation for all women in need throughout Jackson.
